NEW HEAD OF SALES TO LEAD WMS GROUP INTO EXCITING ERA FOR WARRANTY INDUSTRY
- Neil Monks joins as new Head of Sales following an experienced career in motoring trade
- Malcolm McIntosh, former Head of Sales, retires after over three decades in the warranty industry
Leading warranty supplier WMS Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Neil Monks as its new Head of Sales.
Neil’s appointment follows the retirement of industry stalwart and former Head of Sales Malcolm McIntosh, after over three decades in the industry.
Neil joins WMS with a wealth of trade experience and has previously worked in sales, leadership and management. He possesses a huge amount of knowledge gained from OEMs, fleet and leasing, including operating in overseas markets, and comes into the position in a bid to re-energise and grow the retail business.
Under the new ownership by Opteven, Neil will be at the forefront of attracting new talent, creating a new dealer proposition and implementing product launches, in what is an exciting time for WMS Group and the warranty industry as a whole, post-lockdown.
Neil comments: “I’m delighted to be joining the business at this crucial and exciting time. WMS Group has all the potential and capability to continue to grow as an industry leader, and I’m looking forward to building on the successes and achievements that have already been established here.
“As we begin to enter a post-lockdown world, the opportunities for us as a business and industry to maximise on what this new landscape looks like for financial and insurance products is an enduring one, and I’m thrilled to be leading the team in this new era of product and business growth.”
Neil replaces Malcolm McIntosh, who has worked within the warranty sector for 33 years, ten of those with WMS. He oversaw the sale and transition of WMS Group to Opteven, and was instrumental in the landmark partnership with AA Cars, helping develop and support the AA warranty dealer network, as well as launch a new direct-to consumer warranty website.
Malcolm added: “I’m confident WMS Group is being left in the most capable and competent of hands. The management team couldn’t be any more professional, and Neil’s addition is a welcome and forward-thinking one in progressing and growing the business in what has been a challenging year.”
