Leading warranty provider WMS Group has consolidated, re-developed and enhanced its warranty products under its market-leading ‘Safe & Sound’ brand.

Safe & Sound, which was originally introduced to market in 2011, will now provide retailers with a full ‘family’ of WMS warranty and aftersales products designed to bridge the gap between warranty and mobility products. Safe & Sound will now cover all types of used vehicles, providing unrivalled cover through a new simplified suite of products.

Launching yesterday, the new Safe & Sound product suite has been re-developed together with parent-company Opteven utilising detailed analysis and extensive consultation with dealers, consumers, and sales teams. Re-launched as a full mobility product designed to keep drivers on the move in the event of a mechanical breakdown, Safe & Sound will ultimately be available to dealers trading in all types of used vehicles, from cars and motorbikes to motorhomes, EVs and commercial vehicles.

Safe & Sound provides three levels of cover, as opposed to the previous two, and for the first time, cover any used vehicles whatever age, or mileage on the clock.

Safe & Sound has evolved to bring together a family of aftersales products under one enhanced, easier-to-use scheme, and will include a range of warranty and F&I products, such as GAP and Service plans – all designed to help retain customers and increase loyalty for our dealers.

Neil Monks, Head of Retail Sales WMS Group, said: “With the retail industry currently experiencing a huge demand for used vehicles, a quality warranty is a necessity to provide the competitive edge, regardless of the type of used vehicle. We have listened to dealers and have designed an all-encompassing, simple-to-use and flexible warranty solution that is fully compliant with the latest regulatory advice – making it easy for retailers to work with their customers in finding the right solution for them.

“The new Safe & Sound warranty package once again puts WMS at the forefront of used vehicle warranty solutions. We pride ourselves on providing quality warranty cover that helps our dealer partners keep their customers mobile in the event of a mechanical failure. But our new Safe & Sound scheme goes far beyond that, providing peace of mind in the event of a breakdown and, through a range of new insurance products, includes accidents too.”

Safe & Sound will be available to used vehicle dealers from 21 July 2021.

As part of the relaunch, Safe & Sound benefits from a rebrand which now features a ‘tick’ as a sign of excellence and customer reassurance, delivering comfort and confidence to all.
