Just three months on from re-launching its enhanced market-leading Safe & Sound brand, WMS Group is reaping the benefits of its new product suite – with over 100 dealers to date opting for a ‘safer and sounder’ warranty scheme.

Of over 100 subscriptions to Safe & Sound, more than half are brand new customers.Intended to keep drivers moving in the event of a mechanical breakdown, Safe & Sound has been designed to provide a flexible solution to used vehicle customers, providing three cover level options that protect any used vehicles whatever the age or mileage – making it a stand- out product within the industry. It is available to dealers trading in all types of used vehicles.

Safe & Sound was re-launched in August this year, and together with parent-company Opteven, it now brings together a family of exciting aftersales products under one modernised, easy-to-use programme, and will soon include a further range of F&I products, including GAP insurance and Service Plans.

Neil Monks, Head of Retail Sales at WMS Group, said:

“Since relaunching our new Safe & Sound family of products we have experienced an extremely high level of demand with a good mix of new and existing dealers signing up to the scheme so far, representing significant new revenue for the business.

“With the industry continuing to experience pent-up demand for used vehicles, it’s vital that retailers continue to provide a whole host of aftersales solutions that provide added peace of mind to the used vehicle customer and to present a reliable solution when mechanical problems do happen – which is why Safe & Sound is so relevant.

“We are delighted with the success of Safe & Sound to date and look forward to continuing to develop the brand further with additional F&I products in the coming months.”

Safe & Sound is designed to provide a flexible solution to the used car market and has appealed to a wide range of used vehicle dealers, including luxury car dealership Barugzai Signature Vehicles. The Newcastle upon Tyne dealership upgraded its warranty cover from WMS’ previous VGS Repair & Maintenance to Safe & Sound, and now offers its premium vehicle customers a prestige level of warranty cover to match.

Harry Rashid, co-owner of Barugzai, said:

“We decided to open our first showroom earlier this year, which was part of an ambitious plan to change the face of luxury used car retail in the North East and beyond. To do that we required a range of complimentary services and products, including specialist warranty solutions – so we’re delighted to be working with WMS to provide the Safe & Sound warranty product to our customers. Safe & Sound provides us with a quality, flexible solution that meets our customers’ needs, which fits perfectly with the prestige product and service we already offer.”

In addition to Safe & Sound, Barugzai will also benefit from an everlasting relationship with WMS, with technical and marketing support and guidance on how to improve customer sales and services from additional after sales products.

Safe & Sound is available to vehicle dealers now.
