You may remember that issue 3 of our newspaper Fast Lane was the bumper edition, containing even more automotive articles, insights from leading industry professionals and of course, prizes to be won!

Well, one of the prizes up for grabs was a package of ten tickets to the British Champions Day at Ascot racecourse on the 20th October worth £400, where one lucky winner and nine guests would be treated to premier admission at this prestigious event, with access to all of the best viewing areas and facilities.

We received hundreds of entries, but sadly there could only be one winner. We are delighted to announce that Ian Finbow, business manager of Mercedes-Benz in Cambridge (pictured, on the right) was randomly drawn from the submissions and here he is collecting his winnings, presented by our business development director Eric Stone (left). Congratulations Ian, we hope you have a fantastic day!

In its second year, the British Champions Day is the culmination of the European flat horse racing season and last year produced nothing short of spectacular fields for what was Britain’s highest value race day ever at £3 million. Once again there will be end of season championship races for ten furlong horses (The Champion Stakes), milers (The Queen Elizabeth II Stakes), sprinters, long distance horses and fillies and mares, as the QIPCO British Champions Series comes to a close for 2012.
